Victoria Police are asking for public assistance to locate 41-year-old Thayaparan, who was reported missing after leaving his Clyde North residence on Wednesday morning, 30 September 2026. He was last seen at approximately 6:00 a.m. departing a Picnic Avenue address with plans to visit Meridian Central Park, but he failed to return home.

According to police, both investigators and family members hold concerns for Thayaparan's welfare. He lives with a full-time carer, has an intellectual disability, does not speak English, and requires regular medication for several medical conditions. Authorities noted that on previous occasions when he went missing, he was found walking along main roads in the surrounding area.

Thayaparan is described as 175 centimetres tall with a solid build and short black hair. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a yellow hoodie, black pants, and sandals. While he does not speak English, he can speak Tamil and can state his name in English if asked.

Police have released a photograph to aid in the search. Anyone who spots Thayaparan is urged to contact Triple Zero (000) immediately, while those with additional information regarding his whereabouts are asked to call Dandenong Police Station at (03) 9767 7444.
