Bruce Precinct Revitalization Project Receives Funding in 2024-25 ACT Budget

ACT, Australia

The ACT Government has announced funding for the Bruce Sports, Health, and Education Precinct in the 2024-25 ACT Budget. The project aims to create a mixed-use urban renewal precinct that integrates housing, commercial, hospitality, and retail opportunities to support sports, health, and education infrastructure projects.

The Government plans to collaborate with the Commonwealth Government to develop this ambitious plan. The 2024-25 Budget allocations will facilitate the planning of projects such as the new Northside Hospital, a renewed CIT campus, and a new Stadium.

These initiatives will complement the Commonwealth Government’s recently announced AIS precinct renewal in the Federal Budget. The partnership between the ACT and Commonwealth Governments will significantly enhance the community’s benefits.

The Government also intends to explore delivery models and declare an urban renewal site to streamline the coordination of ACT Government Directorates and agencies involved in the precinct planning. This collaborative approach aims to create a revitalized and thriving Bruce Precinct.
