Man Charged for Assaulting Participant During Protest in Sydney’s CBD,

A man has been charged with common assault following an incident during a protest in Sydney’s CBD last weekend. On Sunday, 5th May 2024, police received a report about an alleged assault on George Street around 3pm.

According to the police, a 26-year-old woman who was participating in the protest was allegedly assaulted by a 45-year-old man. It is understood that the man and woman were not known to each other.
