Man Charged with Domestic Violence Offences and Surveillance Device Possession in North Shore

A man has been charged with domestic violence offenses and possession of surveillance devices after a search warrant executed by the Drug and Firearms Squad detectives in a North Shore home. The 36-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday, 7th May 2024, during a search warrant executed at a home on Flaumont Street, Riverview, as part of Strike Force Greenthorpe.

The police located and seized $230,000, two listening and GPS surveillance devices, and arrested the man at the scene. He was taken to Manly Police Station and charged with contravening a prohibition or restriction in an AVO (Domestic), stalking or intimidating with intent to fear physical harm, and possessing surveillance devices with intent to use unlawfully.

Detectives allege that the man had installed the tracking devices in the vehicle of a woman who was known to him. The man was refused bail and appeared before Manly Local Court on Wednesday, 8th May 2024.
