Man Charged with Eleven Drug Offenses on South Coast of State

A 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged with eleven drug offenses following an investigation by Strike Force Kleinig, a specialized team established to tackle the ongoing supply of drugs in the Batemans Bay area. Yesterday, at approximately 9.15 am, officers from the Monaro Southern Region Enforcement Squad, in collaboration with the South Coast Police District, executed a search warrant at a residence in Fauna Street, Long Beach. As a result, cocaine was seized, along with a mobile phone and laptop, which will undergo forensic examination.

The accused was taken into custody and transported to Batemans Bay Police Station. He was charged with offenses that include supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, supply prohibited drug greater than indictable and less than commercial quantity (two counts), and supply prohibited drug less than small quantity (eight counts). The man was refused bail and is scheduled to appear in Nowra Local Court today, Thursday, 9 May 2024.
