“Man Charged with Stabbing Ex-Partner in Domestic Violence Incident, Faces Court Tomorrow”

A man will face court tomorrow charged with stabbing his ex-partner in a domestic violence incident in Sydney’s south. On Wednesday, May 8th, 2024, around 12:30 pm, emergency services were called to O’Riordan Street, Alexandria, following reports of a woman injured. They found a 39-year-old woman suffering from stab wounds, who was then taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a stable condition.

Detectives initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident, which led to the arrest of a 45-year-old man known to the woman. The North Manly man presented himself to Dee Why Police Station around 7:50 am on Thursday, May 9th, 2024, and was charged with causing wounding/grievous bodily harm to a person with intent to murder (DV) and contravening a prohibition/restriction in an AVO (domestic). The accused was refused bail and will appear before Manly Local Court tomorrow, May 10th, 2024.
