Motorcycle Rider in Stable Condition After Collision with Truck on Hume Highway,

A motorcycle rider is in stable condition after colliding with the back of a truck on the Hume Highway in Coolac, approximately 18km north of Gundagai. The incident occurred around 4 pm on Wednesday, 7 May 2024. Emergency services, including NSW Ambulance, responded to the scene, treating the 35-year-old man for arm and internal injuries. He was subsequently airlifted to Canberra hospital, where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the truck, also a 35-year-old man, was uninjured and returned a negative breath test at the scene. One northbound lane of the Hume Highway was closed for a short time before being reopened.
