NSW Police are appealing for assistance from the public to help locate 44-year-old Shaun James, who went missing from Guildford in Sydney's south west. He was last seen in the area at approximately 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, 1 October 2026.

Officers from the Cumberland Police Area Command were notified of his disappearance on Sunday, 4 October 2026, after he could not be contacted or located. Inquiries into his whereabouts were launched immediately.

According to police, both investigators and his family hold serious concerns for his welfare because he lives with several health conditions.

James is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170 cm tall, with a solid build, short dark hair, brown eyes, and clean-shaven. While his clothing is unknown, authorities believe he may be in possession of a backpack and a push bike.

Anyone who has information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact Granville Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
