New South Wales police have established a dedicated strike force following the suspicious deaths of two men found at a property on Summerland Way in Gurranang during September 2026.

Officers from the Coffs/Clarence Police District initially responded to the residence at approximately 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, 13 September 2026, after receiving reports that a body had been discovered inside. A crime scene was established, and the deceased individual was later identified as a 79-year-old man.

On Monday, 28 September 2026, at around 3:40 p.m., police returned to the same Gurranang address to conduct further inquiries regarding the initial death. Upon arrival, officers discovered a second body, believed to be a man in his 50s. A crime scene was established at the home.

Detectives, assisted by the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, have formed Strike Force Faneel to investigate the two deaths, which authorities are treating as suspicious.

Investigations remain ongoing, and police are urging anyone with information related to the incidents to contact Crime Stoppers.
