The sessions at the Expo were carefully designed to equip attendees with the knowledge, tools, and confidence necessary to bring positive change to their businesses. Additionally, the afternoon Gov to You showcase connected small business owners with a wide range of government agencies, industry associations, and support organizations, offering them opportunities to achieve their goals.

South Australia’s commitment to supporting small businesses has been evident through the release of a $14 million Small Business Strategy and the establishment of the Office for Small and Family Business. These initiatives aim to provide training and support to small business owners across the state.

Andrea Michaels, speaking on behalf of the Malinauskas Government, expressed her delight at the success of the first Small Business Week. She emphasized the importance of addressing cost-of-living pressures faced by small business owners and highlighted the incredible opportunities available in South Australia’s thriving economy.

With South Australia’s businesses being put first through the government’s procurement policy, the focus remains on ensuring that small business owners are prepared to seize these opportunities.

Small Business Week, held from April 29 to May 3, featured more than 30 capability-building events in both metropolitan Adelaide and regional South Australia, including the Adelaide Hills, Yorke and Mid North, Eyre Peninsula, Riverland, and Kangaroo Island.
