Two Arrested in Strike Force Wessex Raids Targeting Drug Supply Networks,

On Thursday, 9 May 2024, Criminal Groups Squad detectives charged two individuals as part of an ongoing investigation into an organized criminal network under Strike Force Wessex. The operation, established in April 2023, focuses on alleged criminal groups involved in drug supply using drug run or ‘dial-a-dealer’ phones across Sydney.

In a recent development, strike force detectives, assisted by State Crime Command’s Raptor Squad, executed a search warrant at a Merrylands residence at 8 am. A 26-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman were arrested at the scene and taken to Granville Police Station.

The 28-year-old woman was charged with breach of bail and refused bail, set to appear in Parramatta Local Court on the same day. The 26-year-old man was charged with driving with a refused license application and granted conditional bail, scheduled to appear in the same court on Thursday, 30 May 2024.
