A woman has been arrested after a series of violent incidents involving assault and property damage at Elizabeth North on Monday. The incident took place in the afternoon when police were called to a hotel on Woodford Road after reports of a woman damaging a vehicle in the car park and then fleeing the scene.

Shortly afterward, the same woman approached a stationary Mazda SUV at the intersection of Main North Road and Midway Road. She threw a brick at the vehicle and attempted to enter it, but failed. In a fit of aggression, she then headbutted the driver’s window. Fortunately, the occupants were able to lock their doors and were unharmed.

The police quickly responded to the incident and located the woman on Yorktown Road. However, when attempting to make an arrest, the woman violently resisted and proceeded to bite two officers on their hands and forearms. Additional patrols were called for assistance, and a third officer was also assaulted before the woman was finally apprehended.

The two officers who were bitten were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries but have since been released. The third officer is currently seeking medical treatment. The 24-year-old woman from Davoren Park has been charged with multiple offenses, including assault emergency worker causing harm, hindering police, property damage, vehicle interference, carrying an offensive weapon, and throwing a missile.

Due to the seriousness of the charges, the woman has been refused police bail and is scheduled to appear before the Elizabeth Magistrates Court today, Tuesday 30 April.

This incident highlights the dangers faced by law enforcement officers in the line of duty and the importance of their safety. It also serves as a reminder of the consequences individuals may face when resorting to violent and destructive behavior.
