Qatar Charity has distributed kitchen kits and essential household items to 560 families affected by Cyclone Ditwah and subsequent flooding across four administrative divisions in Sri Lanka's Puttalam District. The relief project was funded by donors in Qatar at a cost of QR 266,575.

According to the organization, the intervention aims to assist families who lost their belongings in resuming daily routines and easing hardships during the post-disaster recovery period. The distributed supplies, which included cooking utensils and essential household items, were targeted at low-income households that experienced property damage or lost possessions in the floods.

Ayesha Prasadi, the Divisional Secretary of Arachchikattuwa, reported that 360 of the recipient families had experienced the complete destruction of their homes.

This distribution follows earlier relief efforts by Qatar Charity in response to the cyclone, which included delivering 1,800 food baskets to affected families. The organization also previously supplied Sri Lanka's Disaster Management Centre with operational equipment, including boat engines, electric generators, and water pumps, to assist in search-and-rescue and emergency response operations.
